ABSTRACT

In order to shed light on the bridging of mini-publics with the maxi-public, it is important that the recommendations formulated by the minipublic receive some form of public endorsement. In order to disentangle the question of relationship between the mini and the maxi-public, this chapter discusses all the questions and starts comparing the participants with the maxi-public, it is the first step to grasping the relationship between the mini-public and the maxi-public. The chapter also discusses the question for the participants and distinguishes the literature since the seminal work of George I. Balch between internal and external political efficacy. It seeks the questions on the basis of two surveys of a representative sample of the maxi-public and the comparison of these results with the G1000 participants. The people asked questions about their awareness of the G1000 and their support for the process, the effects and the results of the G1000 as well as their democratic preferences.
