ABSTRACT
This final chapter of the text is about scholarly research in the field of sport communication. It explains the importance of research to the field and then describes differences between research that uses quantitative and those that use qualitative methods. It then presents research methods that fit into each of those two traditions. The chapter also briefly describes research studies applicable to each method described in the chapter. Each description demonstrates how the research method is used in sport communication research.
