ABSTRACT

The Clothing Business Start-Up Project was established to carry out training, advice, and support work aimed at maximizing the employment potential of new, small clothing businesses, particularly those run by women and black people within the inner city areas ofthe West Midlands. Initially the Project took the form of a year's pilot programme based at the West Midlands Clothing Resource Centre and was funded by the Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust for a period of three years. The Project now forms a core part of the Clothing Resource Centre's work.
