ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we first examine some philosophical issues that the notion of sexual pleasure raises. We then move to the moral theory of consequentialism to see how it evaluates sexual actions. Because consequentialism assesses actions by their consequences, especially by their tendency to produce pleasure on the utilitarian version of consequentialism (which is the most famous version of consequentialism), consequentialism is apt in this respect.
