ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we are going to look at geometric constructions you can make with a ruler and compass. To be more precise, we should say straight edge and compass because we are only using the ruler to draw straight lines, not to make measurements. It is not hard to bisect a line segment or an angle. You can also construct an equilateral triangle or a square. But can you trisect an angle? What other regular polygons can you construct?
