ABSTRACT
Frequently we may be interested in probabilities concerning part, rather than all, of a sample space. From research in genetics it is known that hair and eye coloring are associated. Due to this association, the probabil ity that a person chosen at random from a population has blue eyes will be different from the probability of blue eyes in the subpopulation of people with blonde hair.
