ABSTRACT
In gradually varied flow the degree of non-uniformity is slight, the change in flow conditions normally extending over a considerable dis tance. Boundary friction, of course, has to be taken into account. Owing to the irregularity of section and bed slope, as well as the influence of control structures, the flow in river channels is mostly of this type.
