ABSTRACT
There has been a tendency in recent years for larger model scales to be favoured, thereby reducing scale effect. But of course it must not be lost sight of that both constructional and operational costs increase with size, so that economic considerations demand that the smallest possible model should be constructed consistent with the accuracy of prediction that is required.
