ABSTRACT
These conditions will cover matters which the contractor has to provide if the plant or equipment is to be used safely. Examples are design and construction of concrete block foundations for tower cranes and adequate support to outriggers of mobile cranes. Both items are of course temporary works. In planning the construction method, such requirements must be designed by persons competent to do so and the installation and removal costs allowed for in the tender figure. This is dealt with in more detail in Chapter 3.
