ABSTRACT
The early one d imensional plasma models of Dawson ( 1 962) and Eldridge and Feix ( 1 962 , 1 963 ) used charges i n the form of thin sheets moving through a uniform, immobi le , neutral iz ing background. As with ES 1 , the model was periodic . The fields were obtained d irectly from particle posi t ions, without use of a spat ial grid. Runs were restricted to - 1 00-1 000 sheets.
