S imulat ion i n two and three spatial d imensions i s much more rea l is t ic than in one dimension . I ndeed, many problems demand use of more than one dimension in order to obta in useful physics. Hence, th is chapter and the next display the steps beyond those al ready given for I d , first for electro static models and then for e lectromagnetic models . First , let us estimate costs and complexi ty .
