Introduction

Increases in technology shape society. New technology allows people to quickly and effectively solve problems and complete tasks that may have been impossible only a few years ago. Advances in technology in fields such as communications, healthcare, defense, and entertainment have become such a vital part of our existence that we find it difficult to imagine life without such conveniences. These advances, as well as those yet to come, cannot be possible without the creation of increasingly more effective educational systems.
