ABSTRACT
Basic themes in design of sedimentation basins are (1) the suspension characteristics, and (2) basin hydraulics. These two themes are the basis for theory and practice and come primarily from Thomas R. Camp’s classic 1946 paper, “Sedimentation and the Design of Settling Tanks.”
