ABSTRACT

The psychology of working framework (PWF) and the psychology of working theory (PWT) represent transformative perspectives for career development theory, research, and practice. PWF and PWT are intended to expand the purview and impact of practices and policies in the realms of work and career. Initially posited as a perspective with particular relevance to poor and working class individuals, these new paradigms are relevant to all people who work and who want to work, especially in light of a work context that is increasingly unstable. A case study demonstrates how to apply PWF and PWT to a practice setting.
