ABSTRACT

Simply stated: A process is a series of tasks or activities that take an input (those things that are needed to do a job), modifies the input (work takes place and/or value is added), and produces an output (service or product). Identifying every organizational or individual process may be noble, but is not the goal or particularly practical. However, those processes that critically affect success will be our primary focus. A critical process is defined as a process that is essential to the accomplishment of organizational goals and objectives.
