ABSTRACT

In this chapter, the author covers the basic and advanced information associated with intelligence testing, specifically the WISC-V. The WISC-V is reviewed with associated psychometrics and use with certain populations. The author provides guidance for administration and use of results generally associated with the instrument. Ethical considerations associated with intelligence testing are reviewed as well. The author uses a case analysis format to provide readers with a clear understanding of how to incorporate intelligence testing in the counseling process.
