ABSTRACT
Latinos are the largest minority group in the United States, as a result of their long history of migration to this country. This chapter discusses how different historical events have promoted and shaped the influx of Latinos to the U.S. Students will learn about different events that have transformed the social fabric of U.S. society, and continue to do so, as well as the challenges brought by these events.
