ABSTRACT
The ejido reform is part of the institutional reforms of the Mexican countryside that began with the reorganization of the rural credit institutions, namely Banco Nacional de Credito Rural (BANRURAL) and trade liberalization of basic food and feed grains, and was to wrap up with the restructuring of subsidy policies with Programa de Apoyo al Campo (PROCAMPO) starting in late 1993.
