ABSTRACT
Adam Myerson, editor of Policy Review and vice president for educational affairs at the Heritage Foundation, wrote recently that "an earthquake is about to rock American politics at its foundations. Sometime before the end of this century, a very substantial minority, if not a majority, of African Americans are going to begin identifying with political conservatism rather than political liberalism." 1
