ABSTRACT

T he preparation of this publication required the assis-tance of most of the EPI staff. Amanda Barlow and Stephanie Scott diligently created and edited the text and tables. Jeff Faux read each chapter carefully and provided his usual high quality comments. Edith Rasell carefully reviewed several chapters and assisted us in our analysis of education and health issues. Lory Camba helped with data gathering and computations. Kevin Quinn advised us on the subject of housing. The efforts of the communications staff of Roger Hickey, Christin Driscoll, Danielle Currier, Lisa Beavers, and Caleb Marshall are also very much appreciated.
