ABSTRACT

Agreed Framework between the United States and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Also known as the nuclear accord or Geneva accord. Signed on October 21, 1994, in Geneva, the agreement stipulates that the DPRK freeze operations of its nuclear facilities at Yongbyon in return for annual deliveries of fuel oil and the construction of two light-water nuclear reactors by the Korean Peninsula Energy Development Organization (KEDO).
