ABSTRACT

Wherever I went overseas and interviewed union activists-Jerusalem, London, Montreal, Oslo, Stockholm, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Vancouver, and points in between--and whatever overseas labor movement I contacted via the Internet, the story was much the same: We know what we should be doing, and we are getting to it. While the dream was far more of achieving Cyber Gain status, than anything resembling a CyberUnion, and while there were far more Cyber Naught organizations than I had anticipated, the air crackled with excitement. Change was commonly in the offing, and the activists were in the driving seat.
