ABSTRACT

Strategy is defined as a plan or method for achieving a particular goal. Lacanian didactical discourses develop in the context of an organisation (university, school, etc.). They describe micro organisations or a certain way of organising knowledge work. Knowledge was dependent on the soul according to Aristotle. His discussions about perception and cognition in On the Soul are considered to be an equivalent to the cognitive psychology of today. Aristotle's theories have provided the foundation for a strategy model (the ETAP), a new discourse (Aristotle's) and support for the hypothesis of strategy formation based on movement described in relation to Aristotle's theories of knowledge. Two modern theories illustrating different approaches to 'information access/excess facilitated by technology are presented. These indicate that the conditions for didactical relations have been fundamentally affected by the development of technology.
