ABSTRACT
As a general rule, any member of the sub-tribe has the right to farm anywhere on the land claimed by that sub-tribe as long as it is not already occupied by someone else. Strangers in a settlement‘can only use land by permission of the chief and by paying tribute. The details of this arrangement have not been recorded.1
