ABSTRACT
The effects of technological, demographic, social, and environmental disruptions on learning and work are covered in this chapter, along with the potential for leveraging the use of MOOCs to provide opportunities for practitioners, policymakers, students, and the general public. The author argues that disruptions can provide an opening of access and opportunity to individuals and to learning communities.
