ABSTRACT
Micromechanics is the study of composite materials taking into account the interaction of the constituent materials in detail. Micromechanics allows the designer to represent a heterogeneous material (see Section 1.1.3) as an equivalent homogeneous material, usually anisotropic (see Section 1.1.4 and Figure 4.1).
