ABSTRACT

The purpose of the first Social Coaching Session is to orient caregivers to the structure of the group and solidify the expectations for treatment, while also presenting the first lesson on conversational skills. The development of clear expectations and session structure is critical to maintain the integrity of the program. Without these core components, the sessions may get sidetracked and thereby minimize the effectiveness of the intervention.
