ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the re-evaluation phase within the Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model (OTIPM). It discusses different facets of evaluation, including client(s) changes in occupational performance, client(s) satisfaction with the changes, and the effectiveness and efficiency of the therapy process. The chapter explores strategies for updating and finalizing the reports and recommendations. It provides information on ways to evaluate the learning using a range of strategies including self-evaluation, peer evaluation and educator evaluation. All services, whether they are occupational therapy– specific or inter-professional, are funded by commissioning organizations. Some evaluation tools can support the occupational therapy process. Some tools can appear to have a more distant focus, but are often used for evaluating at a service or population level or where there are multiple professional groups involved. All services, whether they are occupational therapy–specific or inter-professional, are funded by commissioning or funding organisations.
