Main Features of Ga Economy

Traditionally the Ga lived by farming and hunting, but with increased security sea-fishing, introduced in Labadi and Accra by the Fanti in the latter half of the eighteenth century, has gained greatly in importance and is today a main source of livelihood. Though nearly all Ga men have food farms a majority are fishermen as well.
