Telling a story with images can be as important as the accompanying text. Photos and illustrations have always had a key role in features. In today’s digital age there are many creative options for illustrating a story available to the writer and editor – from slideshow galleries to infographics. However, each illustration used should be as relevant to the content as it is to the platform.
