ABSTRACT

Corporate policies are written and unwritten principles, rules, and guidelines created, adopted, and enforced by management to define the scope of work, activities, and behavior in the company’s daily operations. Generally, policies support what senior managers believe to be best practices and focus primarily on procedural issues, with emphasis placed on efficiency of operations and obtaining desired results. Corporate policies evolve over time, and some examples are human resource policies, code of conduct guidelines, corporate social responsibility policies, customer relationship management policies, and corporate security rules.
