ABSTRACT

Two key elements of strategic project success are successful negotiations to meet stated project goals and objectives and effective communications with the investor community. They are important because they ensure maximum value obtained and because they help communicate the significance of the project to the outside world. In the current paradigm, they do not receive attention from forecasting groups and are given no support by them. Under the strategic decision forecasting (SDF) paradigm, however, SDF teams play an important role supporting negotiations behind the scenes, making valuable contributions to the development of the project communication plan for investors, and shaping the project message to the outside world.
