ABSTRACT
Sexual Attitudes Reassessment and Restructuring (SAR) can make a difference in a person's life. Group alignment with the SAR leadership can create a wall that may exist between honesty and submission to the group norm of what is being expressed. One incident occurred where there were many sex coaches and sex educators at a particular SAR and a few therapists seeking their desired credential for certification. Often the evaluations are a dumping ground for complaints or unspoken truths that were too delicate to pose in public within the small or large group or reflect an upset about a component of the SAR content. The chapter provides four dominant themes: art as sexual empowerment, art as an outlet for repression/suppression of political, cultural, religious, emotional values, art as revealing cultural/historical values, norms, and messages and art as spirituality. SAR can make a difference in a person's life.
