ABSTRACT
The criminal acts of a sixth grade teacher victimized not only the student she had raped on multiple occasions. She had betrayed the trust of all her students and victimized an entire school community. This case study details the planning and implementation of system-wide interventions. The extent of the need for creative problem solving, conflict resolution, and care for the caregivers was not anticipated. Included is a sample agenda for a meeting with parents, guardians, and community members. Themes are: 1) system-wide interventions, 2) reestablishing trust, 3) leadership and authority, 4) media control, 5) conflict resolution.
