ABSTRACT
This narrative describes the significant transition from addressing youth suicides as individual incidents to more comprehensive planning as an alarming pattern of youth suicides in the same community began to emerge. These incidents occurred in Fairfax County, Virginia, where the program manager coordinates school district crisis responses. It addresses current thinking about suicide clusters, the value of collaboration, the need for specialized training, outreach and intentional postvention work, and the path toward resilience and recovery.
