ABSTRACT
Testing allows you to see what type of image a camera or lens produces and whether it is appropriate for the look you want and situations you will be shooting in.
This chapter guides you through the pre-shoot preparation of the camera package and camera and lens testing. It provides step by step guidance for: performance, sharpness focus color fringing, flare and bokeh tests for lenses and IR and Variable tests for filters. It then goes on to detail tests for the sensor including testing for low-light performance, dynamic range and dead pixels.
