ABSTRACT

Workflow is the series of interrelated choices that affect what can be done with a film during post-production, and how and where it can be screened. The chapter gives step by step guidance for what to do at each stage of production including how to work with a colorist to make the most of the huge creative toolbox now available for adjusting and enhancing the image in post-production. It provides clear explanations of the implications and interrelationships between recording codecs, file formats, compression, bit rate and how to export films for delivery. It also differentiates between HDR high dynamic range and HD high definition shooting and shows how to adapt for each.
