ABSTRACT
There are several objectives concerning the selection and use of raw materials (plant resources) for the bioproduction of ethanol (producing ethanol in fermentation vessels) and processing ethanol for applications, the main one being to be a component of a fuel for automobiles. Ethanol is presently blended with gasoline for use in automobiles. This blending is required by federal statute (Renewable Fuels Association. 2014a,b).
