ABSTRACT

Human beings are a study in opposites. Think of the burly construction worker who makes his living in an environment where gentleness is ridiculed, even scorned. Yet this same man weeps with joy at his five-year-old daughter’s ballet recital. Think of a demur, bespectacled librarian who also happens to have a black belt in karate. This woman could annihilate an attacker before he could lay a hand on her. Or a boxer who does Transcendental Meditation. Or an accountant who skydives.
