ABSTRACT

Considerable research has been devoted to plotting the movements of the various waves of Sudanic invaders. De Calonne-Beaufaict1 has produced a plausible but involved reconstruction on which the following summary is based. Hutereau’s2 miscellany is useful and Van den Plas'3 summary even more so. Czekanowski's4 sweeping generalizations, particularly about pre-history, are as incapable of proof as his immense array of information is irrefutable.
