ABSTRACT
Approximately a quarter of a million people speak Eastern Sudanic languages of the Moru-Madi group, which Tucker1 divides into three sub-groups. Peoples will be referred to here by the name of the languages they speak; for example, Moruspeaking peoples will be termed " the Moru.”
