ABSTRACT

The Toposa tribe is located on the southern border of the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan. Their present territory is the flat land either side of the Singaita and Lokalyan rivers to the north-east of the Didinga Hills and east of the Boya Hills. Kapoeta, the administrative centre, is in the southern part of the area. During the dry season, when the tribe is dispersed, there is a common boundary with the Turkana at Mogila Mountain.
