ABSTRACT
The Teso live mainly in the Teso district of the Eastern Province of Uganda, and an isolated group of them, known officially as Itesyo, lives in the North Nyanza district of Kenya. A branch of the latter known as Iworopom lives near Tororo in the Mbale district of Uganda. Teso form a minority in the western county of Kaberamaido where live the related Kumam (see p. 28); there is some infiltration of Teso into northern Busoga.
