ABSTRACT
There is some doubt as to the ethnic position of the Luluba. They speak a language of Madi type, but their general culture, so far as it is known, is NiloHamitic in character; they appear to have lived in their present area for a long time; and there seems little doubt that they were the immediate predecessors of the Lokoya, with whom they had friendly relations.
