ABSTRACT
For four days the brothers and the father of the deceased sit around the grave and sleep there; during this time they are not allowed to drink milk or to go near the cows. At the end of this period they wash, and food laboos are over. After the death of an important man, the head of a lineage, the warriors make mock raids upon their neighbours • to find the ~an who killed him' and to raid any cattle.
