ABSTRACT
Most lipids including fatty acids lack the chromophores necessary for ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, but there are some studies of unsaturated fatty acids. Raman spectroscopy and infrared (IR) spectrophotometry do have considerable application in the study of lipids.
