ABSTRACT

The table gives the solubilities of the amino acids in grams per kilogram of water at various temperatures. None of the experimental observations were made at temperatures above 70°C. In most cases the experimental values were obtained both from a colder originally unsaturated solution and a warmer originally saturated solution. Even where four significant figures are given, many of the values probably are not reliable to better than 1 to 2% as judged by agreement between investigators. Lack of a value at a given temperature indicates that, in the opinion of the compiler, extrapolation of the curve from lower temperatures could not be justified.
