ABSTRACT

Aging skin is the result of several processes: natural aging (including the specic inuence of menopause in women: hormonal aging), repeated sun exposure, and environmental and catabolic factors. All these elements have histological and functional impacts that are revealed by clinical modications [42-44,52]. From biology to skin imaging, biometrological assessments to clinical scoring, numerous and valuable scientic tools are available to quantify aging skin as well as the ef- cacy of aesthetic treatments (Table 7.1).
