ABSTRACT
Tissue engineering aims at repairing loss or damaged tissue and organs. Scaffolds are the structures which support the 3D tissue formation and the place for cells to live in. They might be made up of natural, synthetic material, or even decellularlized tissue. Collagen is one of the natural materials that have been widely used and polylactic acid is a common used synthetic material due to its degradability in the human body. 1 Biological signals such as growth factors might help cell adhesion, proliferation, migration, and differentiation.
