ABSTRACT
320In this chapter, the author (with +60 experience in soil and water conser- vation engineering) has discussed topics, such as general hydrology, forest hydrology, watershed and watershed development, soil erosion and sedi- mentation, soil and water conservation measures check dams and percola- tion ponds, farm ponds, micro-level (in situ) soil and moisture conservation measures, soil and water conservation measures for different zones, and instruments and equipment needed for soil and water conservation works.
